Course


 

Starting in Kenrigg Road the half marathon is an out and back course taking the W2K track and Kinloch headland loop finishing at the Kinloch Community Hall.

 

From Kenrigg Road adjacent to the Kinloch Marina turn right into Boojum Dell then left onto the 'W2K' track, turn right onto the Kinloch Headland loop track before turning left to return along the W2K track, cross Boojum Dell turning into the gully and boardwalk, continue along the Esplanade. Cross the marina footbridge and follow the path before crossing to the finish line. 

 

The course will be marshalled and signed. All entrants must complete the same course. This course is unsuitable for wheelchairs, pushchairs or buggies. 

 

There will be NO water available on the course except at the start and finish line. You must carry your own drink.

 



Aimed to complement the Mizuno Off-road Half, the Quarter Marathon is the perfect event for supporters, runners and walkers.

 

Starting in Kenrigg Road adjacent to the Kinloch Marina turn right into Boojum Dell right turn into the gully and boardwalk, continue along the Esplanade, crossing the marina footbridge follow the path to Mata Place, along the cliff top reserve to the Whangamata Stream. Follow the stream to the Whangamata Road turnaround to return down the other side of the stream. Back at the start of the stream proceed right along the reserve to the Kawakawa Bay track, proceed to the turn around then head along the beach track to the finish line at the Kinloch Community Hall.

 

The course will be marshalled and signed. All entrants must complete the same course. This course is unsuitable for wheelchairs, pushchairs or buggies.

Starting in Kenrigg Road the marathon is an out and back course taking the new Great Lake Trail and finishing at the Kinloch Community Hall.

 

Follow the quarter marathon course to the Whangamata Stream then follow the stream a short way up to the first turnaround.  Back at the start of the stream head right to Kawakawa Bay then follow the Great Lake Trail to the turnaround at Whangamata Road, return to Kawakawa Bay then Kinloch and follow the beach track to the finish line.

 

The course will be marshalled and signed. All entrants must complete the same course. This course is unsuitable for wheelchairs, pushchairs or buggies.
 

There will be water available on the course at approx 13km, 23km, 33km and finish area.
