Welcome to New Zealand's newest off-road challenge – the Mizuno Off-Road Quarter Marathon (10.5km) run in conjunction with the Mizuno Off Road Half Marathon at Kinloch on September 4, 2010.

Entry fees
Enter before 4 August 2010 to go into the draw to win the Early bird prize.

Late entry fee applies from 25th August 2010.

Online entry closes 11:59pm 1 September 2010.

Late entries will be accepted at Friday’s registration only.  Late entry fee applies.

Registration

Event packs and timing tags can be collected on Friday 3 September from 4-8pm at the Great Lake Centre Taupo and on Saturday morning from 7am at the Event head quarters at the Kinloch Community Hall.

Entry Numbers are to be worn on the FRONT and Timing Chip to shoe lace. 

Start/Finish

The start area is on Kenrigg Road adjacent to the Kinloch Marina. Finish is on the Kinloch Domain. The start will be waved from 9am with runners first, followed by walkers. The Quarter Marathon will start approximately 30 mins after the last Half Marathon wave.

The Course and First Aid

The half marathon scenic out-and-back loop course winds its way along the ‘W2K’ track toward Whakaipo Bay before turning off at the Headlands track loop.

While the quarter marathon follows a relatively flat course taking in the Whangamata Stream track and part of the Kawakawa Bay track before returning to Kinloch.

The courses will be marshalled and signed. All entrants must complete the same course.

These courses are unsuitable for wheelchair or pushchair users.


There will be NO water available on the course except at the start and finish line, so you must carry your own drink.
First Aid will be provided at the finish line, Aid will also be available on the course by roving medical team members. No dogs on the course please! Supporters and spectators must not accompany runners and walkers at any stage during the event

The Erin Baker and Cameron Brown Awards

The Erin Baker Award is open to any athlete who, in one season, completes the following: The Mizuno Half Marathon (August) or The Mizuno Off-road Half and Quarter Marathon (September) The Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge (November) The Taupo Triathlon (February) Across Lake Taupo Swim (February)

The Cameron Brown Award is open to any athlete who completes, in one season, in the Erin Baker Award and the Taupo Ironman (March).

Prizes
Prize giving will be at 1.30pm at the Kinloch Community Hall you must be present to collect any of the major spot prizes.
