Walkers please note: The Mizuno Half Marathon is the country's largest walking event. We value our walkers and want to ensure that the experience is a pleasurable one for them. Every year we are confronted with the issue of walkers who run, skip, lift or have an action that is not deemed to be walking. Walking is universally defined as a progression of steps maintaining contact with the ground. Technically the knee joint must be momentarily locked with each stride. Please participate in the spirit of the event and abide by these criteria for walking, thus saving embarrassment to both yourself and event organisers. If you wish to walk/run or run/walk, please enter as and start with the runners Merchandise Mizuno Half Marathon and sponsors merchandise will be available for purchase at registration and on the day of the event but it is suggested that you pre-order your event t-shirt to avoid disappointment.
